You can permanently delete your AlwaysNear account from the mobile app. This page explains how deletion works and what data is removed.

How to delete your account

Account deletion is available in the AlwaysNear app. You must be signed in to delete your account.

  1. Open AlwaysNear.
  2. Open the Menu.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Review the permanent deletion warning.
  5. Confirm Delete My Account.

Permanent deletion

Deleting your AlwaysNear account is permanent and cannot be undone. After confirmation, you will be signed out and will not be able to sign back in with the same account.

What AlwaysNear deletes

When you delete your account, AlwaysNear removes your account data from our systems, including:

  • Your user profile and account credentials
  • Contact groups you created
  • Contacts and group memberships associated with your account as the owner
  • Status and timeline updates you sent or that were sent on your behalf
  • Delegate relationships where you are the account owner
  • Delegate invitations you created as the owner
  • AlwaysNear subscription and plan records tied to your account
  • Messages associated with your deleted account, where applicable

Analytics and de-identified records

Some product analytics records may be retained in de-identified form. When your account is deleted, your user identifier is removed or nullified so those records are no longer linked to you personally. Analytics data does not include message bodies, phone numbers, or contact names.

App Store and Google Play subscriptions

Deleting your AlwaysNear account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple or Google, not directly by AlwaysNear.

To avoid future charges, cancel or manage your subscription through the store where you purchased:

  • Apple App Store: Open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone and manage your AlwaysNear subscription there.
  • Google Play: Open the Google Play Store app, go to Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, and manage your AlwaysNear subscription there.

AlwaysNear does not delete Apple or Google billing records, payment history, or subscription records held by those stores.
